Being involved in our Sun West Student Leadership Program has many benefits. This year, our team members developed many important skills which will help us now and in the years ahead.

Our time-management skills were enhanced as we had to learn how to work together towards our team project and goals while also keeping up with our academic work and involvements in our schools and communities. 
 

We improved our confidence, communications, decision making, and critical thinking skills while working together as a team.

 

For those of us on SRC/SLT/SLT teams at our schools, being involved with the Sun West Student Leadership Program has helped to broaden our perspectives and bring new ideas back t our schools. It has also helped us think about ways to improve upon our traditions while considering unity and inclusion. 

Many of our graduating team members are grateful for their involvement in our Sun West Student Leadership Program as it has been helpful in applying for scholarships as scholarship committees like to see how recipients are creating positive changes in their schools and communities.
